I feel like the fricken cat lady. It really sucks. I would say that I need therapy, but I really have learned my lesson. These are the animals that reside in my rather small home:
Teenage Daughter & her snake, Sweety
Son & Dog, Gabby
5 African Dwarf Frogs (Son's)
A Red Eared Slider (son's)
An old cat named Grace
Star, the most unphotogenic cat ever
The Mommy/Daughter Dual, Molly & Karma
Molly and Karma are a result of me feeling sorry for them, so I took them in. 4 cats in a home is absolutely ridiculous and it won’t happen again. Actually, if my house were larger, it might not matter, but my house is not larger, so I simply feel like a fool. Lucky for them, they are the sweetest cats ever…or at least the mom, Molly, is and they are a package deal. Want some cats? or frogs or a turtle? Hmmm????

I was trying to take a picture to show everyone my new curtains, but I am not good with a camera so I gave up. However, as I was browsing through the pictures, I began to realize all of the stories that a single picture can tell.
First I noticed some great pictures of Molly and Karma – a mother and daughter set of cats that we adopted in August.
Molly & Karma
There are two pictures of me that really are quite comical and I will not post them. In one, I appear to have just woken up and in the other one, I was on a business phone call, comfy and kicking it back in the oversized chair. I do not recall either picture being taken.
There are several pictures of my daughter. She loves to take the camera and take pictures of herself which seems to be common amongst teens these days. There are a few of my son, but mostly, the pictures are of my daughter and the cats. Of course, there are Christmas pictures, too.
The whole point of the pictures was for me to get a picture of the new curtains, but I am terrible with the camera. I envy those that have a natural eye and the skill to capture the beauty that surrounds us.
This is the picture that I came up with this afternoon.
Living Room Stories
Gabby is on the rug in front of the fireplace and Grace is sunbathing on the back of the couch. The poinsetta that we purchased for Christmas is on the fireplace struggling to survive. Two serious encounters with my daughter and the Christmas tree left the poor plant about half the size that it was the day we brought it home. Now, we find Molly trying to climb into it on occasion. As I previously mentioned, I bought a foreclosure home in which my daughter and I have been fixing up. With that, my living room, like the rest of the house, is not complete, yet I have found a comfort in it that I did not anticipate.
With my departure, I will leave you a poised picture of my daughter as she would kill me for posting the previous and a glimpse of me. Have a terrific weekend.
